Stephen has been involved in the Financial Services Industry for over 30 years and has extensive experience in arranging and managing financial service organisations, particularly those involved in the retail managed funds sector.

Between 1977 and 2004, Stephen has held senior roles in funds management, and distribution business development consulting in Sydney, Melbourne and Hong Kong. Stephen was Principal of Blue Tongue Marketing – a specialist product and business development organisation, the Regional Managing Director of TBOi Knowledgebank Pty Limited (a subsidiary of US Life Company, General America), a Director of Heine Management Limited – a specialist mortgage funds manager, Armstrong Jones Asia and financial planning group Retireinvest.

Michael Holm is the founding shareholder and Chairman of Balmain NB Commercial Mortgages Limited, one of Australia’s largest and longest established commercial mortgage originators. Michael has been involved in commercial mortgage origination for more than 30 years.

Michael is also a director of Australian Mortgage Administration Limited, Australia largest independent administrator of commercial mortgages with funds under administration of over $ 4 billion.

Andrew joined Balmain in late 2003 as Group Chief Executive. Following a 20 year career in property and business development including positions as CEO of public companies and substantial joint venture projects, Andrew brings to Balmain a wealth of operational experience. In addition to his role as CEO Andrew heads up the ‘New Product' division.

Ray has extensive involvement in the Australian finance and property industry at a senior executive level.

Between 1975 and 1985, he worked for Citibank where he was the General Manager Commercial Finance. During this period he had direct responsibility for the Bank's NSW commercial finance real estate division. He was responsible for the development, management and disposal of a substantial property book and had a personal loan approval sign-off of $20 million for any single loan.

Between 1986 and 2001, Ray was the MD of Leda Holdings a property group with substantial shareholders' funds. Ray was directly responsible for the Groups finances, managing and negotiating the acquisition and sale of the Groups properties which comprised over $1 billion in commercial, industrial and retail property. He was also a pioneer in the securitization of commercial mortgages, launching a $200 million Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities program supported by two regional shopping centres.

From 2001 to July 2004, Ray was General Manager, commercial, industrial and Retail development for the St Hillier's Property Group, responsible for St Hillier's property developments and investments. These involved acquisition, development (often in joint venture), as well as leasing, sale and financing of the properties.

Paul has over 40 years experience in lending and credit policy, having spent most his career at Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA).

Between 1995 and 1999, Paul was the Head of Credit Policy – Group Credit Policy and Control where he had direct responsibility for development, monitoring and communication of policies governing credit approval and review processes within all CBA Group entities including determination and review of credit approval authorities delegated to CBA line personnel. Prior to 1995 he held various executive domestic and international roles at CBA including General Manager Americas at CBA New York.

Since 1999, Paul has consulted to a wide range of domestic banks and multinational institutions in risk management, credit risk grading and policy development and due diligence reviews of credit portfolios. Paul is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (formerly the Australian Institute of Banking and Finance) and a past fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (membership lapsed 2001).
