The Australian 18 Footers League's 2021-2022 18ft Skiff racing season began on Sydney Harbour today when the club staged Races 1 and 2 of the annual seven-race Spring Championship series.
For the first time this season, the winds favoured all skiffs racing ‘heavy rig’ resulting in a great race with only seconds seperating the leading skiffs. Aboard the Spectator Ferry the Balmain supporters cheered the loudest.
Showing elegance, robustness and durability the Balmain skiff placed 10 across the finish line and 7 on corrected time. We sit in overall position 12 on the NSW Championship leaderboard.
If you are keen and interested in watching the Balmain skiff live, join Balmain on-board the Spectator Ferry. Let us know via info@balmainprivate.com.au.

Earlier this month I sat down with Michael Bleby, Deputy Property Editor at the Australian Financial Review (AFR).

Balmain was proud to come on board as a new sponsor of this year’s Gears and Beers Festival in Wagga Wagga, a long-standing community event celebrating cycling and craft brewing in the heart of the Riverina.

Our recent ‘Conversations with Balmain’ evening was held at the Riverine Club in Wagga Wagga.
