With a strong 10 knot north-east breeze, Sunday sailed by as Balmain’s orange skiff, with a torn spinnaker, fought its way across Sydney Harbour.

Fighting for the championship trophy, it was a close call between the two leading skiffs, however, in the end, Tech2 dominated the race over Yandoo easily becoming the 2021-2022 NSW 18ft Skiff Champion.

With persistence and strength, despite the torn spinnaker, the Balmain skiff placed position 10 across the finish line. This resulted in moving up 2 ranks, from position 12 last week, to settle into position 10 in the overall NSW Championship results.

Congratulations go to Tech 2, the winner of NSW Championship 2021/2022.

Next Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 February sees the the start of the Australian Championship.
